Officer Reports:
- President –Victor Mattison – Aug. 14th Minutes will be reviewed and approved at the next meeting.
- VPE – Rich Puskarich – September 4th is the next Ask the VPE session. Rich will be available prior to the meeting to answer any questions about Toastmasters. Let Rich know if you plan on attending.
- VPE – Rich Puskarich – Oct. has 5 weeks and Rich sent out an e-mail with suggestions on how we may utilize that 5th week. Review the e-mail and send provide feedback/suggestions.
- President – Victor Mattison – The Area Director will be attending next week’s meeting.
- President – Victor Mattison – Rob Van Winkle will be picking up gently used toys and deflated balls for his missionary trip.
- President – Victor Mattison – Noted articles in the Toastmasters’ magazine. One article Pathways 101 provided good tips. Another regarding visitor’s inquiries indicated 42% of people interested in learning more about Toastmasters state no one replied to their request for information. He knows that isn’t the case at SC Toastmasters. Jim Salih suggested that we save our old magazines and bring them to the meetings to give to new members and visitors.
- President – Victor Mattison – In lieu of new binders a 1 page Welcome Document with information about our club and links to important sites printed on nice card stock with a name tag attached will be given to New Members. Per Sarah Xu they will be e-mailed to new and existing members. Samples were handed out to the meeting attendees and Victor is interested in hearing our feedback.
Committee Reports:
- Jim Salih – Youth Leadership starts Sept 10th. This session is full, but a place is needed to hold the meetings. Zach offered his father’s business and unfortunately it is too small for this large group.
