Officers’ Reports:

Kathy Denton reminded everyone that we need a slate of new officers and asked that any interested parties consider running and contact her with any questions or to volunteer.

Victor Mattison reported that Tim Sullivan and he had been working on a win-back campaign for former members. More than 100 former members were contacted. Most had great comments about the club and left only due to a relocation, usually for work. Several said they would come back to visit and a few said they would consider re-joining. Another round of contact will happen in a few weeks, closer to the end of the month.

Committee Reports: NONE

Unfinished Business: Minutes from last week’s meeting were reviewed and approved.

New Business:

Jim Bubash asked for input on a date and location for the Christmas party. The date chosen is December 13 and the location will again be the Pavilion at Jefferson Barracks.

Announcements:

Geoff King reminded everyone that the district conference, the last one in the fall is scheduled for November 17-18 at the Collinsville Doubletree Hotel

Jim Salih encouraged everyone to attend the November 15 meeting which is going to be the graduation ceremony for the Youth Leadership project that he and others have worked hard to promote and support. Please try to come support these great kids. We’ll have two speakers from our club that night to show the students how seasoned Toastmasters deliver a speech.
