- Kathy Denton was awarded her 2nd Competent Communicator Award, Congratulations, Kathy!
- Victor Mattison was awarded his Competent Communicator Award, Congratulations, Vic!
Announcements:
- Susan McConnell reminded everyone that there will be a speech marathon on May 31, the last Wednesday of the month. All roles have been assigned.
- Susan McConnell reminded us that a new slate of officers will be elected in early July. If anyone has an interest in serving in any particular role please let her know.
- Susan McConnell shared that Erin Gissel was awarded first place in the District 8 Evaluation Contest. Congratulations, Erin! She also encouraged all members to consider going to these events and contests as they’re very interesting
- The next TLI session will be June 24 from 8:00 – 12:00 at Webster University. It will include officer training, networking breakfast, breakout sessions and a raffle. Please see Adam for more details
- Kyle Hatten, back from the University of Missouri for the summer re-joined the club. Welcome back, Kyle!

Thanks for the minutes. I do think it would be nice if there was a place to record suggestions, such as the ones from the GE evaluation. Not to specific people, but any for the entire club. More specifically, last night I pointed out that it is helpful if people respond to the TM’s request for confirmation of attendance promptly to avoid creating work for the TM and GE. Thanks again, minutes can be a tough job and I appreciate that you do them.Kathy D
