Old Business:
Adam Kutell resumed discussion about a PA system being available for Toastmasters. He then made a motion to appoint Jim Bubash as the contact person to assume responsibility for this initiative. Ginny Foster seconded the motion and the motion carried without discussion. Adam will discuss this new opportunity with Jim Bubash.
New Business:
Carl Hendrickson mentioned two upcoming opportunities for Officer Training.
Adam Kutell mentioned/made a motion to amend our bylaws to include the following: functionaries and speakers for contests within our club must be from our club. Shreya Gopal seconded the motion. There was no discussion and the motion carried.
Adam will send revised bylaws to Carl Hendrickson, Club Parliamentarian, to edit and add.
Shreya Gopal will be leaving our account register, bank cards and material, on behalf of Sudi Gopinath, with Brent Stewart for an audit. Jim Bubash and Carl Hendrickson are members of this audit committee. The account register will be transferred to willing Toastmaster until the end of the current term.
Sherya and Sudi will be hosting the TLI conference on June 21st and are looking for a volunteer speaker for the event. Please contact Shreya or Sudi if you are interested in sharing successes you have observed as a Toastmaster.
Correspondence & Announcements:
Sudi and Shreya’s last meeting is May 21st. There will be a farewell toast after the meeting on the 21st at Dulaney’s Neighborhood Grille and Pub, 9940 Kennerly Center St. Louis, MO 63128.
