President: Brent Stewart Our Executive Team met the evening of June 7th. We first discussed the “Owl” (video conferencing audio equipment). Recent club Zoom attendees reported degraded and disruptive audio quality, and the team brainstormed whether local adjustments could solve the problem…or whether a new device was needed. The audio problem was identified and resolved during the weekly meeting on June 10th.
New Feedback on Table Topics: A club member suggested written feedback on table topics talks. Our team agrees with the value of feedback notes, and (for the sake of time) we will encourage members to share brief comments informally either during breaks, or email.
Area Director and Officer Changes: Karen D? the current Area Director, is stepping down and will not serve as an installing officer. Installations may be handled by Jim Zaboran (the next-ranked officer) or the incoming Area Director Richard Porter.
The TLI training session is scheduled for Saturday, June 13, 2026 in Granite City. Registration remains open. Free professional headshots available for attendees. Training sessions will be led by club members (Jim Salih): VPE training, and Debbie Young: Speech Organization).
Members are invited to join the financial review committee (formerly referred to as the audit committee). The role mainly involves verifying the club checkbook. Financial expertise welcomed but not required.
