Meeting Minutes South County Toastmasters (#1957) – September 30, 2020

Officers’ Reports: Officers:

1. President – Jerry Paul –
   • Minutes of the September 23 meeting were sent out, hearing no change requests they were approved as sent and posted.
2. VPE – Kat Higashino
   • Kat showed our progress toward the club President’s Distinguished award.  She indicated that, having achieved 4 of the 9 goals required, we are well on our way toward achieving the award this year, despite having reduced the number of speakers from 4 to 3 at each meeting.
   • Kat awarded Pathways certificates of completion to:
     • Patrick Hunt for completing Visionary Communication level 1
     • J. D. Perper for completing Innovating and Planning levels 1 & 2
     • Susan McConnell for completing Visionary Communications level 1

Committee Reports:

1. Golf Outing Committee – Bill Collier reported that the golf outing will be held on October 10 in Fenton.  You do not have to be good or even a golfer to participate. Contact Bill Collier or George Kiser if you have questions.
2. Jerry Paul reported that Tom Terrific will share the Face Book passwords with the Public Relations committee.  Patrick Hunt said he will contact Tom.

Unfinished Business: None New Business:

1. Jerry Paul reported that planning is under way to celebrate South County Toastmasters’ 45 year milestone since the club was established.  More information will be forthcoming.  If you have ideas contact Jerry.

Correspondence and Announcements:

1. The Toastmaster next week will be Sandy Roll.
2. Debbie announced that only 11 clubs in our district got all 7 officers trained via TLI and South County is one of them.
3. Jim Bubash announced that he is also a member of Jeffco Challengers and they are planning a virtual comedy night for October 29th.  Contact Jim Bubash for more information and to get the link to attend.
