• • President – Jerry Paul – Minutes of the July 8 meeting were sent out, hearing no change requests they were approved as sent and posted.
  • VPE – Kat Higashino –
    • Kat will set up the schedule once the meeting time vote is finalized.

    • District 8 Officer Make-up Training is posted here: https://dist8tm.org/training/
    • Any officer who didn’t already attend the training for their role should attend.  Division A training is scheduled for July 23rd at 6 pm via zoom.  If that date doesn’t work for an officer they may attend any of the listed dates for other divisions. Officers who did not already attend training, should attend as it is necessary to attain the club officer training President’s Distinguished goal.

Committee Reports:  Public Relations Committee: Sean Sheehan reported on behalf of Patrick Hunt that:

• There is an upcoming Sunset Hills Chamber of Commerce luncheon on Tuesday 7/21, the cost is $18.  If you plan to attend please see the email Patrick sent out, RSVP to the Chamber of Commerce, and email Patrick so he will know who is attending. Note the club discussed luncheon payment and confirmed the individual attending must pay for themselves and SCTM will not cover the cost.

Unfinished Business:

Topics concerning returning to in person meetings.

• • The club voted to approve future split meetings consisting of both in person and virtual when the club is ready to return to in person meetings.  That is pending availability of the equipment which Jerry Paul will provide.  He will notify us when we are ready. The next upcoming meeting will be fully virtual.
  • The Sunset Hills Community Center informed us they will require our meeting times to be from 6 – 8 pm (due to custodial services requirements), at least through the end of the year.
    • The club voted and approved:
      • To keep and reserve the room at Sunset Hills.
      • To start the meetings at 6 pm.  Those who can not be in attendance at 6 pm should notify the VPE (Kat Higashino) to only give them roles that start later in the meeting after they can be in attendance (whether virtual or in person).
    • The club also asked how many are comfortable with returning to in person meetings and 11 of those present indicated they are.
