Officer Reports:
- Vice President Education – Debbie Young – No corrections to the meeting minutes from last week. Approved as submitted
- Vice President Education – Debbie Young – Attended officer training this past weekend. Breakout sessions gave training on other topics. Some of them were about performance evaluations, how to judge a contest, and pathways classes. This training is free to attend and is held twice a year. Everyone is welcome, not just new officers
Committee Reports:
- Brent Stewart – Nominating Committee – The Committee nominates the following members as officers for the next 6 month term: President, Brent Stewart, Vice President Education, Debbie Young; Vice President Membership, Sarah Pitkin; Vice President Public Relations, Susan McConnell; Treasurer, Bill Hurston; Secretary, Sandy Roll; Sargeant of Arms, J.D. Perper; Officer at Large, Rob Van Winkle. The club will vote for officers next week. We need a quorum in order to hold this vote. Please attend the meeting next week if possible
Unfinished Business:
- Jim Bubash – The club’s summer picnic will be held on 9/23/18. There are 4 area parks available on this date. They are Watson Trails, Suson Park, Crestwood Park, and Sylvan Springs. Jim moved to hold the picnic at Crestwood Park at the same location as last year. JD Perper seconded. The motion was unanimously approved.
New Business:
- Rich Puskarich – We have received a membership application from Melissa Baldwin. Dues have been received. Brent Stewart moved to admit Melissa into the club. Carl Hendrickson seconded. The motion was unanimously approved. Sarah Pitkin will be Melissa’s mentor. Welcome aboard Melissa!
Correspondence and Announcements:
- Jim Bubash – He has prepared a Vice President of Public Relations duties manual. He will not be at the meeting next week and asks someone to share this manual with the incoming Vice President of Public Relations
- Sean Sheehan – He has prepared a procedural sheet for secretary duties as well as a quorum attendance sheet. He will put copies of these documents in the secretary notes folder kept in the white plastic box and give copies to the incoming secretary. This procedural reference sheet will also be available on the club website
