Officer Reports:
- President – Rob Van Winkle – No corrections to the meeting minutes from last week. Approved as submitted
Committee Reports:
- Rob Van Winkle – Nominating Committee – Changes have been made from last week’s announcement of nominees for the officers for next term. Rob would like to read the list next week and on June 27th and have the club vote on the nominees on June 27th. The Committee is still looking for a nominee for the office of Sargeant at Arms. If anyone is interested in holding any of the offices next term, please discuss with a Committee member. The Committee members are Rob Van Winkle, Jim Salih, Brent Stewart, Sarah Pitkin, and Adam Kutell. Just after the meeting ended, a member expressed interest in the position of Sargeant at Arms
- Kathy Denton – Picnic Committee – Kathy moved to hold the club’s annual picnic on September 23rd. Janet seconded the motion. A discussion was had on what park the picnic would be held at. The motion was unanimously approved. The picnic will be held on September 23rd. The club has allocated funds and fixed the date. The Committee will pin down the location

New Business:
- Geoff King, Vice President Membership – We received a new member application from JD Perper. Howard Brandt moved to approve the application. Carl Hendrickson and Geoff King seconded. The motion was unanimously approved.
Correspondence and Announcements:
- Carl Hendrickson – Five South County Toastmasters members and a former member will put on a comedy show on Sunday June 24th from 3-5 pm. See Carl for a flyer describing the event
- Geoff King – The first opportunity to attend new officer training at the Toastmasters Leadership Institute is June 16th. The event will be held at Lindenwood University – Belleville, 2600 West Main St., Belleville, IL 62226. Doors open for registration at 8:00 am. Light breakfast and lunch will be served. To register, go to the website at dist8tm.org. This is a great opportunity to learn about the responsibilities of each officer position and all are encouraged to attend. Officers for next term are strongly encouraged to attend for this reason. Also, the club gets credit toward earning the Distinguished Club Award for new officers receiving this training. There will be other breakout sessions providing training on a variety of interesting topics
