Officer Reports:
- President – Rob Van Winkle – No corrections to the meeting minutes from last week. Approved as submitted
Committee Reports:
- Sarah Pitkin, Officer Nominating Committee – Nominations for next term’s officers will be made. She will send an email about this process to the members tonight. The Officer at Large will also support the Sargeant at Arms’ weekly tasks in addition to the customary role. If you want to run for an office, please talk to the committee members: Sara, Rob, Brent, or Adam

New Business:
- Jim Bubash – The club has a tradition of having a summer picnic. Dave has organized this event in the past. We are looking for an organizer this year as he cannot do it
- Jim Bubash– He is the Logistics Chair for the upcoming District 8 conference. He has been asked to provide a camera, projector, screen, and tripod at the conference. He would like to borrow these items from the club. Max Kaiser moved that the club consent to this request. The motion was seconded by Rich Puskarich. It was unanimously approved
- Max Kaiser – Mary Kirwin, past South County Toastmasters member, died last week at age 84. She was a District 8 Governor and possibly held all district offices at one time or another. She was a member for about 35 years. Please remember her in your prayers
Correspondence and Announcements:
- Sean Sheehan – All speaker roles for the speech marathon on May 30th are filled. Kathy Denton asked if any other rolls are still available? Sean will try to find this answer and email to the group
- Max Kaiser – The District 8 Conference is this weekend. There will be the Evaluation Contest and International Speech Contest
- George Kiser – He will play music with a band this Friday at 6 pm at Big Daddy’s in Edwardsville, Illinois. The address is 132 N. Main Street, Edwardsville, Illinois 62025
