Officer Reports:
- President – Rob Van Winkle – No corrections to the meeting minutes from last week. Approved as submitted
- Jim Bubash – The club’s Executive Committee met tonight. Our club has a program called the Speakers Bureau. He will make it more prominent on the website. He will add anyone that wants to be on the list. People sometimes call the club and ask for speakers for an event. As an example, Tom Terrific talks about butterflies and speaking skills

New Business:
- Steven Winheim – We have the new white board. It has a clip at the top. It is magnetic with magnets provided. It has adjustable legs to change the height and comes with new markers. The cost was $82.85. Jim Salih moved to reimburse Steve for this cost. Jerry Paul seconded. The motion was unanimously approved
- Max Kaiser – Congratulations to the club’s speech contest winners from this past weekend. Susan McConnell won the International Speech Contest and Adam Kutell won the Evaluator Contest. Geoff King and Victor Mattison organized well-run contests. Congratulations to them also
- Debbie Young – New member applications have been received from Sandy Dickson and Bill Hurston. The treasurer has received payment for their membership dues. Sandy Roll moved to forego the need to escort out of the room the applicants and the guests. Sean Sheehan seconded this motion. It was unanimously approved. Debbie Young moved to admit the applicants into the club. Sandy Roll and Bill Collier seconded. The motion was unanimously approved. Susan McConnell will mentor Sandy and Mary K. Spencer will mentor Bill
Correspondence and Announcements:
- Debbie Young – Sarah Pitkin received the Competent Leader Award. Congratulations Sarah; it is the culmination of a lot of effort.
- Debbie Young – Susan McConnell is the Sargeant at Arms. Debbie encourages all in attendance to coordinate with Susan at the beginning and end of the meetings to help in the set up and tear down process. It’s an opportunity to learn about the equipment we use at the meeting and the other processes we follow. Thanks for your help
