- New retention committee led by Bill Collier. Members include Bill Collier, Sarah Pitkin, Steve Winheim and Vic Mattison
Unfinished Business:
- Jim Salih announced youth leadership graduation at the next meeting (11/15). There will be 4 youth speakers and 2 toastmaster speakers
- The nomination committee has been getting volunteers to fill officer roles for next term. We would like to have a candidate for each position by next week. We will announce the slate of officers 11/15 and the 29th (People can still volunteer once read) and vote the first week of December (December 6th).

New Business:
- The last fall conference is 11/17 and 11/18. The theme is “The big goodbye.” It’s at the Doubletree hotel in Collinsville
- Jim Bubash announced the inmate scholarship program for the prison inmate toastmasters club. Each toasmasters club is encouraged to create a gift basket to send. Donations for the basket will be accepted at next week’s meeting (11/15).
- Jim Bubash to send an email with suggestions to end meetings on time.
- (Sarah Pitkin also wrote a blog on our web page about strategies to keep meetings on time)
Announcements:
- Sarah reminded everyone about the tall tales contest on 11/29. All roles have been filled, but there is still room to participate if you’d like to. Please send Sarah and email if you are interested. She will also send a separate email about roles and any other necessary correspondence before the meeting. If you have any questions. Please reach out.
