Special thanks to Susan McConnell who invited club members to a really great gospel choir concert on Saturday, April 22. The standing-room-only event was held at Salem United Methodist Church in Ladue. The crowd was diverse in every imaginable sense but was entirely together in the shared experience of great music and an uplifting message. Even pew-huggers were clapping and wiggling in their seats. Though through a different medium and setting, that group was doing lots of great communicating – just like Toastmasters. They communicated messages of faith and hope but also understanding and reconciliation. It was a really great evening and those club members who attended were glad to have been there. Very grateful that Susan made the invitation.
