EXECUTIVE SECTION

OFFICERS REPORT: Dues are due – Matt Ramshaw

COMMITTEE REPORT: Tom Terrific reminded us that he is a part of the website committee. Shreya Gopal has joined him in this crusade to clean up the website. James Bubash is helping out with the forms and cleaning them up for clarity. Please follow up on the blog and become a subscriber. So we can get updates easily. Shreya asked all members to subscribe to the e-zine and keep track of our blog.

OLD BUSINESS: Max Kaiser is the District 8 judge’s liaison, if anyone wants to volunteer please send him an email if anyone wants to be part of the judges. Adam reminded that we are running out of the Table Topics award forms, and James said that he will take care of that. Carrie said that on the International website there is free software available on the website if we want to replace Turbobase. There are many benefits using this software since it is separate from the emails and allows to keep track of the roles, speeches, etc. Easy Speak. Adam said that it is hosted on their site and does automatically assign and randomly, not based on recent roles, inactive, etc. It does have some missing custom roles, etc. It has 4 custom roles and not as flexible as Turbobase. It is tied into the Toastmasters International roles. A dummy account will be created by Carrie to explore the software to see if it would add to our club functioning.

NEW BUSINESS: New application for membership from Liz DeCamp. – Carrie Driscoll (VPE). Treasurer has received funds for the dues. Motion to accept her. Second by Adam. Aye’s have it. Howard pointed out that the applicant need not be asked about if they are aware how the toastmasters program works since she is a transferring member. Assignment for mentor will be done next week.

CORRESPONDENCE AND ANNOUNCEMENTS: Carol said thanks to Tom about information regarding Oasis, it was helpful and she will be volunteering with them. George Kaiser reminded us that the magnificent 7 are speaking and presenting at two events this coming weekend. Please go out and support them at these events. Alan Kirby reminded us that we are able to check-in on Facebook at South County Toastmasters.
