EXECUTIVE SECTION
OFFICERS REPORT:
Carrie Driscoll congratulated Howard Brandt, Sudi Gopinath, Gina Willard, Carmen Wilkerson, Kelly Bottini, Carol Lindewedel, and Robert Osborn for full attendance in the month of July.
Matt Ramshaw read out proposed amendments to Article 5 of the bylaws, the club will vote on this next Wednesday. The amendments were proposed to Section 1, Section 2, and Section 6. Please refer to Matt’s email on Aug 8 for details.
COMMITTEE REPORT:
Monthly financial report – Matt read out the monthly report for August.
OLD BUSINESS:
Don Clair achieved the Advanced Communicator Silver award. David Wilkins completed the last speech of the CC Manual and hence on his way to the Competent Communicator award.
NEW BUSINESS:
Expense from Steve Bettag, and Matt asked for affirmation according to the by-laws to approve the cost. Motion by Carmen Wilkerson and second by Jerry Paul.
CORRESPONDENCE AND ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Sudi Gopinath made an announcement regarding the 2013 Humorous Speech Contest and the Table Topics Contest on Aug 28th. Adam Kutell, Area Governor for area 13 announced that the area contest is on September 7th from 10 am to 12:30 pm at the Tesson Ferry Library. Adam is looking for volunteers to help out. Contestants at the club contest cannot be judges at the Area level contest but are welcome to come and make the South County presence felt.
