Committee Reports:
Carl Hendrickson reported that the Education Committee has held their first mentor workshop and will hold one more on Oct. 6th, at 6:30 before the regular meeting. Being a mentor is a way to help bring new members along; if you were not able to attend this first meeting you can still attend the next one.
Howard Brandt reports that we have about 26 people signed up for the anniversary dinner including 3 past members and 6 past presidents. He is still trying to fill the room. If you’re not signed up, there’s no time like the present.
Former legislator and club member, Carl Hendrickson, was asked if we could get a proclamation for the event.

Old Business:
Howard Brandt would like to remind us that dues need to be in by Oct 1st. There is a grace period but then we loose points toward Presidents Distinguished. President Reichardt stated that we could mail them to Joe or just bring them to the meeting. Since next week is the last week before the deadline if Joe is unable to attend you can still get credit if you bring your dues to the meeting.

Correspondence & Announcements:
The Area Contest is this Saturday, Sept 25th, Barb Sapienza and Alan Kirby will be competing to move on to the District Contest.
Alan Kirby has informed us that Nilsa Scott is in the ICU, he will send out an Email as soon as he knows more.
Max Kaiser, Jr. went out for a get well card that we were all able to sign. Alan will deliver it to her. Our prayers and good thoughts go out to her.
