Paul Cook, Area 4 Governor, inducted new officers for the January-June, 2010, term:

Alan Kirby stated several themes, or goals, for the club during his term, including improvement, retention, and harmony.
NEW BUSINESS: An Audit Committee will be formed in the coming days to review the club’s finances prior to the books being transferred from the outgoing VP-Treasurer (Mike Dobrich) to the new VP-T (Adam Kutell)
CORRESPONDENCE & ANNOUNCEMENTS: TLI (officer training) takes place on Sat., Jan. 30, 2010, from 7:30 a.m. to noon at the Twin Rivers Worship Center, 10575 Tesson Ferry Rd., Affton. All new officers should plan to attend. Gov. Cook asked for volunteers to help with setup, room monitoring, etc., on the 30th.
The Area 4 International Speech/Evaluation Contest will take place on March 20, 2010, also at Twin Rivers.
Carl Hendrickson announced that Howard Brandt (Speakers’ Bureau) gave a presentation on Dizzy Dean last month to a group of seniors. Also, four SCTM members – Tom Terrific, Carl, Jack Bettag, and Gina Willard – conducted a seminar at Cardinal Ritter Prep last month for Ritter alumni who are currently attending college.
Max Kaiser announced that judges are needed for a Forensics League speech contest at Webster University, taking place on Jan. 20-22. Contact Max to volunteer or for more information.
