President Debbie Young asked if there were any corrections or additions to be made to the minutes from the February 8, 2023, meeting. No changes heard, the minutes were approved as posted.
Officer Reports:
President: Debbie Young
- Area Contest was held last weekend. Bill Collier won 1st place in the Humorous Speech contest. Steve Burchett won 1st place in the International Speech Contest (area level). They will both go on to the Division Contest which will be held March 11, which is a Saturday. The link to register for the Division Contest is:
- The Executive Meeting of the Club Officers will be held on Zoom this coming Monday at 6:30 p.m. Debbie will send the link to officers.
- The Community Center is extending their hours to 9 pm. Debbie sent out a survey previously and shared the results. A motion was made that we move our time from 6 – 8 pm, to 6:30 – 8:30 pm. There was discussion of benefits of the different times. Kathy, Susan, and Vic prefer starting at 6:30 to give more time to get there and more time after rush hour while Adam prefers 6 pm to reduce the time he needs to kill before the meeting starts since he comes straight from work. Jim suggested splitting the difference and starting at 6:15. Vic felt the quarter hour might not be well remembered. A vote was taken however the majority abstained from voting. 4 voted in favor, 2 against. Debbie said we did not have enough vote so we will table it for a future meeting.

- Dues are due before April 1, 2023, and by March 25th if possible. You can pay with cash, check or Venmo. The amount is $76. The fee covers from April 1 to the end of September.

New Businesss: Hunter Brown joined the club. His information sheet was read and he was voted in. His mentor will be decided later. Welcome Hunter!
