President Debbie Young asked if there were any corrections or additions to be made to the minutes from the November 30, 2022, meeting. The minutes were approved as posted.
Officer Reports:
President: Debbie Young.
- Toastmaster Leadership Institute (TLI) will be holding officer training on Saturday, December 10, 2022. This will be held online, via Zoom, only. Anyone who will be holding an office next term, but has not yet been officially elected, is encouraged to attend. There will be other training opportunities for all Club members, even for those who will not be holding an office next term. - The last Executive Committee meeting for current officers will be held on Monday, December 12, 2022, at 6:00 PM. New officers are invited to attend. Debbie will send an email reminder to all current and new officers.
VPE: Callie Koehr. Callie presented education awards to J.D. Perper for completing the following levels in Pathways: Innovative Planning Levels 3, 4, 5. Presentation Mastery Levels 4 and 5. Congratulations J.D.!!

Susan McConnell, member of the Christmas Party Committee
Susan announced the Christmas party will be held on December 14, 2022, at the home of Bill and Joyce Collier. Their address is: 2269 St. Andrew Ct., High Ridge, MO 63049. The party will begin at 5:00. Food will be served at 6:00 PM. Spouses, friends and children are welcome. Susan reported that the Club will be supplying non-alcoholic beverages, so no one else needs to bring drinks for the Club. Many people have signed up to bring desserts however more main dishes are needed. Please consider bringing a side dish rather than a dessert. Bill Collier announced his company will be collecting new toys to be distributed at Shriner’s Hospital this holiday season. Anyone interested, please bring a new toy to the next meeting or to the Christmas party at Bill’s house.
Jim Salih, Speech Contest Chair
Jim Salih has volunteered to be the Contest Master for the upcoming Club International Speech and Humorous Speech Contests to be held on January 25, 2023. Jim announced that all the contests after the Club level will be held on Zoom only. The Club members discussed whether the Club contest should be held as a hybrid meeting or on Zoom only. After further discussion, a vote was taken. The Club members voted to conduct the Club contest on January 25, 2023 on Zoom only.
Jim asked for someone to volunteer as Chief Judge. Anyone who volunteers can get credit towards a Pathways project. Upon this announcement, Victor Mattison volunteered to serve as the Chief Judge.

Jim Salih, VP of Membership reported he received a membership application from returning SCTM member, Samria Mujdzic. A motion was made by Jim Salih to accept Samira Mujdzic’s application for membership. The motion was seconded by J.D. Perper. The motion passed unanimously.
Correspondence and Announcements: J.D. Perper will be giving a musical Christmas concert on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at 7:00 PM. The location is: The Corinthian, 3607 Lemay Ferry, St. Louis, MO 63125. This is located just north of South County Mall and across the street from Harley Davidson. Park at the flagpole in front of the third building in the row. Someone will let you in or call J.D at 901-230-3335 who will meet you at the door. All are welcome.
Susan McConnell will be performing with the Allegro Choir on Sunday, December 11, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Kirkwood Presbyterian Church. The concert is free, however a free will offering is requested.
