- George asked if there were any changes to the minutes and hearing none, the minutes of last week’s meeting were approved as posted.

The Southwest Area Chamber of Commerce will be having a networking luncheon next week.
May 2021 Chamber Luncheon

You can register here.
The luncheon will serve as a good opportunity for dual networking. Individuals can network our club or themselves, (if they’re business owners.)

We are going to have a special meeting, “Shark Tank Meeting” on June, 2nd. Please let Patrick know if you would like to give a speech.
New Business
Keith Page made a motion for the tech committee:
- The SCTM executive board will establish a Technology committee of three people or more to review, maintain, and provide recommendations regarding technology and social media presence for South County Toastmasters. This includes, but is not limited to, the audio/visual/computational equipment, document maintenance and storage, online bill pay, social media, etc. The term of each position of the committee shall not exceed one year.
- JD seconded the motion
- Keith mentioned, “There are three individuals who said they would be on the committee this year. Those individuals would be Bill Collier, Debbie Young, and Rob WanWinkle. Tom Terrific has also been spoken to about an honorary chair of the committee.”
- George announced there was a quorum and passed the motion.

Announcements:
Patrick encouraged everyone to think about SCTM hosting an Area Joint Club Meeting.
Patrick reasons this would be a good way to meet other clubs.
SCTM discussed the first week of July will be a busy time of year.
