- Minutes of the September 16 meeting were sent out, hearing no change requests they were approved as sent and posted.
- VPE – Kat Higashino
- VPM – Brent Stewart – Two members submitted applications for membership. Brent introduced Elizabeth (Liz) DeCamp and Tim Davis and read their applications for membership. Both were voted into the club. Please welcome Liz and Tim. Liz’ mentor is Debbie Young. Tim’s mentor is Rob VanWinkle
- VP-PR – Partick Hunt
- Secretary – Kathy Denton
- Treasurer – Kim Bond (Jerry Paul spoke on Kim’s behalf)

Committee Reports:
- Golf Outing Committee – George Kiser reported that the golf outing will be held on October 10 in Fenton and 10 people have signed up so far. Participants must arrive by 8 am sharp. Contact Bill Collier or George Kiser if you have questions.
Unfinished Business: None other than Dues are past due (See the Treasurer’s officer report above).
New Business:
- Jerry Paul reported that Toastmasters International sent a congratulatory letter for South County Toastmasters reaching the 45 year milestone since the club was established.
- Bill Collier reported that Jack Bettag’s visitation and funeral service were well attended by Toastmasters. Steve Bettag, Jack’s son, gave the eulogy and his past Toastmasters’ experience benefited him in doing so and was evident in a job well done. At Max Kaiser’s reminder to Bill, flowers were sent on behalf of the club. Bill requested reimbursement for $129.11 for the floral arrangement sent (receipt from Schnuck’s Floral). A vote was taken and the reimbursement was approved.
Correspondence and Announcements:
- The Toastmaster next week will be Kat Higashino.
- Victor Mattison is now the District 8 Growth Director, one of the top 3 roles at the District level. Congratulations Vic!
- Max Kaiser, an inactive past member, is in a nursing home in Eureka and will be there until the pandemic is over. Jim Salih said the nursing home is in lockdown so visiting in person is not feasible at this time.
