- President – Rob Van Winkle – Our International Speech and Evaluation Contest is tonight. Kate Schafroth is the Contest Master
- President – Rob Van Winkle – We had 14 guests at last week’s open house. Our Vice-President of Membership will email them thanks for coming and welcome back any time
- President – Rob Van Winkle – Thank you Gladwell Ndungu of the Central West End Toastmasters Club for volunteering to be the pattern speaker for the evaluation portion of tonight’s contest. We appreciate her taking the time to help our contest
- Vice-President Membership – Geoff King – The winners of tonight’s contest in each category are eligible to compete in the next level, the Area IV Contest. That contest will take place on Saturday, March 31, 2018 starting at 12:30 pm. The contest will be held at the Grant’s View Branch of St. Louis County Library located at 9700 Musick Road, St. Louis, Mo. 63123. Doors open at 12:00 pm, Briefings take place at 12:15 pm. The contest should last about 2 hours. Geoff is the event chairperson and asks for volunteers for any of the support roles. Contact Geoff for more info or to help at the event

- Kate Schafroth – Many thanks to Bill Collier and Arch Engraving for the generous donation of trophies and awards for tonight’s contest participants
- Rich Puskarich – The deadline to pay annual membership dues is March 28th. The amount is $51. Please pay this by the deadline
- Tom Terrific gave out milkweed seeds. This flower attracts monarch butterflies as they pass through St. Louis in the fall on their annual migration. He will give a presentation about monarch butterflies on Saturday, March 3rd at 1 pm at Whitecliff Park, 9245 Whitecliff Park Ln., Crestwood, Mo. 63126
- Mary K. Spencer gave out a flier with information about the upcoming Youth Leadership Program she is chairing
