EXPLANATION OF BACKWARDS MEETING – Matt and Carl explained that tonight’s meeting will be run backwards meaning we were adjourned as soon as we got to the meeting!

MINUTES OF LAST MEETING: Minutes are out on our blog, no changes, and stand as sent out.

OFFICERS REPORT: None.

COMMITTEE REPORT: None.

OLD BUSINESS: It is time to elect our Club officers for the next term (Jan – June) If you are interested in being a part of the SCTM leadership send your nominations to Jerry Paul. Matt announced that the cold weather is upon us and the Toastmasters Christmas Party is upon us in December. He will be planning the party and next week will bring it up to a vote for a date in December. Anyone who assists Matt will get credit for the CL Manual.

NEW BUSINESS: Nov has thanksgiving and traditionally we have asked the club to vote on whether or not we meed right before Thanksgiving that is the November 23rd meeting. Erin made a motion on the floor to vote for cancelling the meeting on 23rd Nov , second by Adam. The majority have it. The meeting stands cancelled for Nov 23rd 2013.

CORRESPONDENCE AND ANNOUNCEMENTS: The Division Level Humorous Speech and Table Topics contest is this Sat, Oct 26th at 9:30 am @ Thornhill Branch STLC Library, 12863 Willowyck Dr., St. Louis, MO 63146. Be there to cheer our very own, Matt Ramshaw (Humorous Speech) and Erin Gissel (Table Topics) go get them! Fellow TM’s they will be edging their way to the District!

Brian Ettling got a job in St. Louis area as an organizer at the Sierra Club. He will be presenting at downtown this Monday at the National Park Ranger convention and also doing a Climate Change class in Meramac.

Interested people can sign up. Sudi reminded everyone that next week is the speech marathon, Alita Quires replaced by Liz DeCamp. Only written evaluations.
