• VP Membership (Matt Ramshaw): We have 49 renewing members this 6 month period; the previous 6-month renewal (October 2012) was 46; Area 4 (our Area) contains 6 clubs; Over the last year we have had 13 new members the next closest club in Area 4 had 6 new members
• VP Education (Adam Kutell): The May schedules will be released soon; next week’s schedule (1 May) may be available by the end of this meeting

New Business: Shreya Gopal won Division A Speaking Contest and will represent Division A (and Area 4 and our Club) at the District 8 International Speech Contest on Saturday evening, May 18th.
Correspondence and Announcements:
Item 1: Effective Evaluations Instruction Opportunity
• Erin Gissel and Adam Kutell will be giving an “Art of Effective Evaluations” at Tesson Ferry Branch (near the corner of Tesson Ferry Road and Lindbergh Blvd.) of the St. Louis County Library, on Saturday, May 11th at 2PM. The instruction will be free and guests are welcome. If you wish to attend, please contact either Erin or Adam. Also, Erin has offered to bring some of her baked goods.
Item 2: Missing Pen
• Kathy Denton is looking for a Silver Pen that has Toastmasters International embossed on it
Item 3: Contest Pictures
• Kathy Denton has posted Area Contest photos to our club website; Traci Cahill has pictures from the Division Contest and will forward to post to the website shortly
Item 4: Editorial in Local Paper
• In the 24 April 2013 edition of the Oakville Call newspaper, SCTM member Brian Ettling had a Letter to the Editor published regarding the Ameren Meramec Power Plant – a topic he spoke about last week in our club meeting
Item 5: District 8 Conference
• The District 8 Conference will be held on 17 and 18 May at the Renaissance Hotel near the St. Louis International Airport
