Speaking from the Advanced Communication Series, Bringing History to Life, Dee McAliney relies on the spirits of Lady Godiva in this presentation!
Dee states the legend of Lady Godiva dates back to the Middle Ages in England. Lady Godiva was upset her husband, Leofic, the Earl of Mercer, raised taxes. In turn, Leofic tells Lady Godiva the taxes will not be raised if she rides naked on a horse. During the ride, the townspeople were instructed to stay indoors. Everyone did, except for a gentleman by the name of Tom, ergo the term Peeping Tom!
