President: Brent Stewart Congratulations to Joseph Parks for his Division A Humorous Speech Contest win, praised for an excellent speech and strong club turnout.
Upcoming Contest: This Saturday (March 21st), involving Division B and Division F, hosted in St. Louis at St. John Vianney High School (Lindbergh and I-44). Doors open at noon; contest begins at 1:00 PM. Special note: Club member Patrick Hunt will represent his Columbia club in Division B; possibility for two SCTM club members to win in different divisions, a rare occurrence.
Recognition for the SCTM achieving the 2026 Smedley Award (“check marks on every box”) and recognition on the international Toastmasters club website, reflecting high standards.
An executive team meeting is scheduled for Monday, April 6, 2026, to discuss recent district awards and incentives.
The District Conference will be held May 16, 2026, at Orlando’s near Union Road and I-55 (not the Orlando’s in Maryland Heights). Joseph Parks will be competing; members are encouraged to attend. The event will include educational sessions and the display of the club’s 50th anniversary memorabilia.
Members are reminded to pay dues promptly for two main reasons: If dues are paid before March 20th, members receive a $5 discount for the upcoming District Conference in May (St. Louis). Sponsoring a new member and being listed as their sponsor grants a $10 Toastmasters gift certificate.
VPE: Jim Salih Scheduling club activities is delayed until dues renewal status is confirmed. The schedule for April will be released one to two weeks at a time, depending on renewals.
A volunteer is needed for Saturday morning (March 21st) to serve as a Zoom judge for the Youth Leadership students’ Optimist contest at 9:00 AM for 1.5 hours.

Correspondence and Announcements: Kelly Standing(SP?), a former club member and two-time international finalist, has been diagnosed with stage four cancer. Plans are underway to add her memorabilia to the club’s collection in her honor.
