President: Brent Stewart-Brent attended the District 8 Awards Luncheon on Saturday, where our club was recognized as a President’s Distinguished Club. Patti Howard brought us ice cream to celebrate, and Brent thanked her, noting we enjoyed it.
VPE: Jim Salih-Jim announced he will be sending out the Google Form for September scheduling and encouraged members not to opt out of the entire month, as it makes covering roles difficult. He reminded everyone to do their best to fulfill assigned roles, find substitutes if needed, and prioritize attendance while understanding that important conflicts may arise.

Committee Reports: Debbie Young shared details about the pub social. It will be held Thursday evening at Maggie O’Brien’s at 6:30 p.m. in a private room, serving as both a kickoff for the club’s 50th anniversary and a farewell to Patrick, with several alumni expected to attend, and memorabilia and a Toastmasters game planned.
New Business: None.
Correspondence and Announcements: Jim Salih reported that at least three members have completed levels in Pathways and will receive certificates, which he plans to present in person next week. Brent noted this progress also puts the club on track toward achieving the Smedley President’s Distinguished for the year.
