Unfinished Business:

New Business:  Jim discussed the International Speech Contest noting that Inspirational Speeches tend to be favored by the judges.  Speeches must be 4 1/2 to 7 1/2 minutes in length.  To participate, members must have completed Level 2 of Pathways or be a DTM.  The winners of the Speech Contest have the potential to work their way up through the Toastmasters organizational levels and ultimately compete in the International Speech Contest held at the Toastmasters International Convention.  3 people have already signed up to participate.

Evaluation Contestants can work their way up to compete at the District 8 Conference.

Correspondence and Announcements:  Julie Zeitler had purchased a poinsettia and a card for Bill and Joyce Collier.  The card was passed around for everyone to sign.

Jim Bubash noted that next year is the Club’s 50th Anniversary and inquired as to plans.  It was noted that this has been discussed.

J.D.’s concert will be Saturday, December 14 at 6:00 p.m. at Corinthian Senior Apartments, 3601 Lemay Ferry Rd. (across from the Harley dealer).  Concert is free!  Turn into the complex and drive to the flagpole in front of the 3rd building.  Park there or nearby.  Entry requires a code which J.D. will provide to someone who will be watching for everyone.  Plenty of seating is available.  Come festive if you wish!  The concert will last approximately an hour and will feature instrumental music and a great session of singalong of Christmas Carols.
