EXECUTIVE SECTION
OFFICERS REPORT: Carol Breckner from Jeff Co challenger contacted Gina. They are having their contest tonight at 6:30 pm at the United Methodist Church (telegraph and jeff co intersection). They need judges and requested us to send some volunteer judges. Carrie Driscoll will be the CLE evaluator for tonight.
COMMITTEE REPORT:
OLD BUSINESS:
Carol Lindewedel did a presentation a few weeks ago asking for volunteers to keep a record of speaking patterns or concerns about their speech. She shared that she used “gonna”, “you guys”, “ya”, “gotta”, and “whatchya” in the past few weeks. Hopefully we all will keep track of our grammar in the future.
Adam reminded us that in July we voted to accept new contest timings for our evaluations during the month of August. He proposed that we make this a permanent timing to our meetings. Except for one meeting we didn’t go over time due to the new evaluation times. Motion by Adam to accept contest timings for our evaluations, Second by Brent, No discussion, Ayes have it. It stands changed that the new evaluation times are : 1:30 yellow, 2:30 green, and 3:00 red.
Erin announced that on Wed 25th Sept Suzanne Lee will visit us and review our TM educational goals (CC, CL, ACB, etc) and where we stand till date. Erin requested everyone to send her an email about what awards everyone was working towards so this information is current for our Area Governor.
James said that it has been a tradition for the Sargent at arms to carry the projector and computer home. He said that he would like to leave the projector in the room where everything else is locked. Adam made a motion, second by brent. Discussion: Keys are only with the guard. Erin suggested leaving the computer. He said computer is safer going home. But the projector will be left in the locker / storage room. Aye s have it.
NEW BUSINESS: None.
CORRESPONDENCE AND ANNOUNCEMENTS: Guest (Liz DeCamp) decided to see the VPMem to enroll at SCTM. Adam thanked the fellow SCtm members who helped him at the Area 13 contest. Steve Flick, Howard Brandt, Brent Stewart, Gina Willard, Vamsi J., Diane Fawcett, and Kelly Bottini.
